Quality Measures for a Quality Product
Wolff Pipelines Ltd. ensures quality control for its steel products through several measures:
Manufacturing Standard
The products are manufactured under strict quality control . We adhere to various international standards such as ASTM, ASME, ANSI, API, NACE, EN, DIN, BS,JIS, MSS, GOST, AWWA.
Testing and Inspection
Visual and dimensional tests.
Raw material process.
Mechanical properties.
Chemical composition.
Heat treatment.
Ultrasonic test.
Positive material identification (PMI).
Corrosion test (A262 Practice E).
Hydrostatic test.
Eddy current test (ASTM E426).
Mill Test Certificate (MTC)
MTCs are issued, with EN 10204 Type 3.1 being a standard. EN 10204 Type 3.2 (third-party inspection) is also available upon request. Raw material test certificates are also provided.
Certification
ISO 9001:2015 certification, which assesses and approves their management system for the supply of pipes, fittings and flanges.
Third-Party Inspection
Third-party inspections by organisations like Lloyds, SGS, DNV, and TUV are frequently performed on clients request.
Carbon Steel Pipe
Visual and dimensional examination, bend test, hydrostatic test (100%/17.0 Mpa/10Sec), heat treatment (normalised at 845 to 945 degrees celsius, soaking time 1 inch per hour, cooling in still air), and non-destructive tests (100% ultrasonic test longitudinal and 100% full length body eddy current). These pipes are fully killed, fine-grained, vacuum degassed, and produced with low sulphur and phosphorus. They also have a residual magnetism maximum of 20 Gauss and a grain size of No.7 or finer.NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 and NACE MR0103/ISO 17945.
Stainless Steel Pipe
Visual and dimensional examination, raw material process verification, heat treatment (annealed at 1040 degrees celsius, 5 min, rapid cooling), positive material identification, corrosion test (A262 Practice E), hydrostatic test, and eddy current test (ASTM E426). The pipes are free from mercury and radioactive contamination. NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 and NACE MR0103/ISO 17945.
Carbon Steel Buttweld Fitting
Visual and dimensional examination, raw material process verification, heat treatment (Normalised at 920 degrees celsius, soaking time 1inch per hour, cooling in still air), steel making process - electric arc furnace, fully killed and of fine grain and vacuum degassed & produced by a low sulphur and low phosphorus refining process, (gauge length 50 mm & TP direction: longitudinal). NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 and NACE MR0103/ISO 17945.
Stainless Steel Buttweld Fitting
Visual and dimensional examination, raw material process verification, heat treatment (Solution annealing at 1045 degrees celsius, water quenching), steel making process - electric arc furnace, positive material identification, corrosion test (A262 Practice E), annealed and pickled condition. The fittings are free from mercury and radioactive contamination. NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 and NACE MR0103/ISO 17945.
Carbon Steel Forged Flanges
Visual and dimensional examination, raw material process verification, heat treatment (Normalised at 910 degrees celsius, cooling in still air, soaking time of 1 hour per 25mm"1 inch" thickness with a minimum soaking time of 1 hour), steel making process - electric arc furnace, fully killed and of fine grain and vacuum degassed & produced by a low sulphur and low phosphorus refining process, ultrasonic test to ASTM A388, surface roughness 125-250 microinch AARH,
tensile gauge length 50.8 mm direction - longitudinal, Grain Size No.7 or finer calculated in accordance with ASTM E112-2024.
Stainless Steel Forged Flanges
Visual and dimensional examination, raw material process verification, heat treatment (Annealed at 1050 degrees celsius, water quenching), steel making process - electric arc furnace, positive material identification, corrosion test (A262 Practice E), The flanges are free from mercury and radioactive contamination. NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 and NACE MR0103/ISO 17945.
The scope of the Management System applies to the following:-
"The supply of butt weld pipe fittings, flanges, pipes and all types of valves, in all recognised grades of material, used in the oil, gas and chemical industries to all applicable internationally recognised standards"
